Also Ojibwa, Ojibway, or Chippewa. Among the largest groups of Native Americans–First Nations north of Mexico. They are divided between Canada and the United States. According to some traditions, many Ojibwe came from the eastern areas of North America eventually arriving in the Lake Superior area.

A Canadian national order that is the second highest honor for merit. Established in 1967, it is a fellowship that recognizes the achievements of Canadians who make a major difference to Canada through lifelong contributions, as well as the efforts made by non-Canadians who have made the world better by their actions.

Also spelled Otoe, an Indigenous people who, in their historic past, together with the Iowa and the Missouri, separated from the Ho-Chunk (Winnebago) and moved southwest.
