We have not learned our lesson yet.

And a hundred years from now you and I (our descendents) will be saying exactly the same thing. We haven’t learned our lesson yet. It’s the history of mankind. I’m sorry but that’s the history of mankind. You and I and your research project and all the papers that are going to be printed as a result of all this aren’t going to change that one iota.
