A Dakota community located in Minnesota Falls Township along the Minnesota River in eastern Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. A Dakota homeland for centuries, the Dakota were forced to leave this area or killed after the U.S.-Dakota War of 1862. 746 acres of the area were returned to the tribe in 1938.
