Chronology
1876
The Village of Ada is founded.
1881
Ada becomes the seat of Norman County.
1904
Construction of the Ada Village Hall is completed in the fall. Ada's government officials and citizens begin to use the building extensively.
1960s
The Ada fire and police departments move out of the hall. Public use of the facility decreases through the 1970s.
1990s
The second floor of the hall is closed to the public.
1998
The Ada Village Hall is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
2010
The Ada government offices move out of the hall.
2012
A retailer is established in the hall but goes out of business.
2014
Renovation of the Ada Village Hall is postponed due to the prohibitive cost.
