The Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post interprets the contribution of the Ojibwe people to the culture, history, and contemporary society of Minnesota and the nation. The site was named after the reservation whose history is represented in the museum. It is part of the Kathio Historic District, which the US Department of Interior designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1964.
