Field Note

Minnesota Historical Society's Local History Services staff visited the National Register-listed Hackensack Conservation Building in June to check the status of log, window, foundation, and other work which was mostly funded with Legacy Grants. The building, constructed in 1936 in the National Park Service Rustic style by the Works Progress Administration, was originally an information bureau, library, museum and comfort station. The City of Hackensack looks forward to placing its library services back into the building when the rehabilitation is complete.
