About This Event
For two nights only, join us for a dramatic reading of Lance Belville's play Nina! Madam to a Saintly City on the lawn of the historic Alexander Ramsey House Museum. Under lantern lights, you'll find yourself immersed in the lore of St. Paul's legendary Madam.
The edited reading will feature many voices including original actor, Lynn Lohr, as Nina Clifford. Singer/Songwriter John C. Van Orman adds to the evening with a pre-show of songs he composed for a previous musical version of Nina beginning at 6:45 pm.
Nina Clifford was an affluent sex worker who contributed to the buildup of St. Paul’s downtown Red Light District in the late 1800s. Read more about her life on MNopedia.
Due to the nature of this program, the recommended audience is 18+.
This event is FREE. RSVPs are appreciated. No seating is provided, please bring a chair or blanket. Gates open at 6:30 pm, Pre-show music begins at 6:45 pm
