Special Event Volunteers - Metro Area

The ideal volunteer for this position provide excellent customer service and a warm, welcoming environment to visitors attending special events and programs through out metro sites including the Minnesota History Center, Fort Snelling, Alexander Ramsey House, James J Hill House, Mill City Museum, and Oliver Kelley Farm. Volunteer duties may include being ushers, ticket takers, event setup, family art/activity assistants, visitor wayfinding guides, and product sellers. You get to choose your schedule based on your availability.

Volunteers should be:
Friendly and welcoming. Physically, a volunteer in this role must be comfortable being stationary or moving about the museum for portions of shift.

Time Commitment:
The schedule will vary depending on the season. We will send out emails about upcoming special events. You can expect to receive emails from us about once every other month. Shifts are typically 3 to 4 hours and hours can vary from morning or afternoon.

Location:
Special event volunteers can choose to volunteer at any of the metro area sites depending on the event.
