Tilly Laskey
Biography:
Tilly Laskey is the Outreach Curator at Maine Historical Society in Portland, Maine. She is a researcher who has worked with institutions in Italy, Massachusetts, and Minnesota to reveal the life of Evangeline Whipple. In 2008, she co-curated an exhibit at the Minnesota Historical Society that showcased selections from the Bishop Whipple Collection of American Indian Art. Collaborating with Rice County Historical Society Executive Director Susan Garwood in Faribault, Minnesota, Laskey completed two Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund grants that supported the work for her MNopedia article. Along with publishing smaller articles, Laskey is writing a book about Evangeline’s life.
