ST. PAUL, Minn. (June 2, 2025) – “Team Minnesota” is headed to nationals! Out of nearly 2000 Minnesota students who entered regional competitions, 59 were named winners at State History Day and are eligible to represent Minnesota at National History Day in Washington, DC June 8-12.

Topics that will be presented range from the Great Mill Disaster to the Americans with Disabilities Act to Orson Welles’s War of the Worlds and were based on the theme of “Rights and Responsibilities in History.”

Students in grades 6-12 spent weeks and months researching, analyzing and synthesizing information, writing, and presenting their historical projects. They created and presented exhibits, documentaries, websites, and performances.

If you would like to connect with a student from your area with this honor, or if you are interested in the results from National History Day, please contact Allison Ortiz.
