TWO HARBORS, Minn. (June 21, 2024) – In addition to its famous, breathtaking views, Split Rock Lighthouse boasts more than a century of history! This year, the site is offering three premier tours that will give guests a chance to learn about the lighthouse from a variety of angles.

All tours include access to the lighthouse and keeper’s house, plus general admission.

Conquering the Cliff Tour
During this brand-new tour, guests can learn the history of how this iconic landmark was built. During this 60-minute guided tour, visitors will explore the challenges people faced while building and living on the isolated cliff home to Split Rock Lighthouse throughout its first 24 years of operation. It wasn’t a quick trip to the grocery store!

The Conquering the Cliffs Tour runs daily at 11 am and 2 pm beginning July 1.

Keepers Tour
This private 60-minute guided tour gives visitors a special glimpse into the lives of the lighthouse keepers. It runs before the site opens to the public, each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 9 am through October 21.

Grand Views Tour
The perfect opportunity for visitors to capture stunning photographs of the iconic Split Rock Lighthouse from various angles and locations! Guests will go on a captivating guided hike through a portion of the picturesque Split Rock Lighthouse State Park.

The Grand View Tours will take place on select dates this fall, beginning September 21 at 8:30 am.
