MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (February 12, 2025) – The STEM fields are intertwined with history and continue to have an important impact today. On February 22, Mill City Museum will hold a free STEM Family Day presented by Donaldson Company to showcase how science has shaped the Twin Cities.

The day’s program will feature fun activities that focus on the role STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) has played in the past and present. Guest organizations and museum staff will present a variety of programs, highlighting the ways STEM affected the Minneapolis riverfront and the work of scientists on the river today.

Guest organizations include:

  • National Park Service
  • Geological Society of Minnesota
  • The Raptor Center
  • Mississippi Watershed Management Organization
  • American Chemical Society
  • General Mills Wheat and Flour Quality Lab (Activity in Baking Lab requires regular site admission)
