ST. PAUL, Minn (July 10, 2024) – The Minnesota Historical Society was founded in 1849, making 2024 our 175th birthday. Minnesotans – and fans of Minnesota – are invited to join the celebration with the MNHS 175 History Hunt

The MNHS 175 History Hunt includes 175 unique tasks that encourage Minnesotans to explore the state and learn more about our shared history. The History Hunt takes participants to our 26 historic sites and museums, as well as many other locations across Minnesota. Some tasks can even be completed from the comfort of home.

The History Hunt is live now and runs through Labor Day. It is a free experience that uses the Scavify app, and participants are eligible for prizes. For more information, check out the FAQ.

The MNHS 175 History Hunt is made possible through funding provided by the Minnesota Legacy Amendment Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
