ST. PAUL, Minn (November 16, 2023) – The James J. Hill House will bring back a historic holiday celebration this winter, giving guests a chance to experience seasonal festivities from the early 20th century.

Visitors can get a glimpse of Christmas in 1910 — both upstairs and downstairs — at James J. Hill’s famous Gilded Age mansion. For this traditional event, the house will be decorated and feature holiday-themed exhibits, along with a 60-minute guided tour highlighting stories and memories from the Hill family and their staff.

Tours will begin December 1 and be offered each Thursday through Sunday, ending December 31. Each day, tours will run every half-hour based on availability, with the last tour beginning at 3:30 pm.

Standard admission for Holidays on the Hill is $20 for adults. Admission for seniors, college students, active military, and veterans costs $18. For children ages 5-17, admission costs $16, and there is no cost for children under 4. Minnesota Historical Society Members receive a 20% discount.

Visitors are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets for Holidays on the Hill in advance online.
