LITTLE FALLS, Minn. (September 14, 2023) â The Charles Lindbergh House and Museum invites the community to celebrate a significant milestone in the siteâs history.
September 30 marks the 50th anniversary of the Minnesota Historical Societyâs public operation of Charles Lindberghâs childhood home. From 10 amâ4 pm, visitors can take part in special events and activities.
Highlights include house tours, special presentations, a photo booth, birthday treats, and a shuttle between the Lindbergh House and the Little Falls Airport, which is hosting a fly-in. All is included in the cost of regular site admission.
The house was opened to public visits beginning in 1931, and began offering tours in 1957. The Minnesota Historical Society took over management of the house and adjoining property in 1969, and it became a National Historic Landmark the following year. The museum was opened in 1973 in a ceremony featuring a speech by Lindbergh himself.
