Staff from the Grants Office and Local History Services met staff from the Basilica of St. Mary and their contractors on March 18 to get an update on the status of their large Legacy grant for a structural assessment of the Basilica's masonry. They are seen in this photo observing exterior cracks and crack monitor mechanisms. The project will document and assess existing conditions of the masonry structure within the attic and bell towers. This work will help determine and prioritize future repairs to the 1907 Neoclassical building designed by architect Emmanuel Louis Masqueray.
