The Prairie Schooner

The Prairie Schooner, August 23, 1873, Marshall, Minnesota.
Minnesota Historical Society Newspaper Collection
"Upon this occasion of launching the Prairie Schooner, Marshall sends greeting to older towns and localities with a pressing invitation to "Come and see us." Bring along the wife and little ones, the young men and maidens, the widows and old bachelors, and make arrangements for a protracted stay. Bring along well filled purses, if you happen to have such articles about you, for here is an excellent place for the investment of capital. Come with empty pocket-books if you must, for here is a tip-top place to fill them if you will but take the time...."
