About This Event
Explore past and present culinary traditions along the West End, one of St. Paul’s oldest neighborhoods, built along one of the city’s oldest roads. From the early days of the Upper Landing to today’s bustling West 7th Street, this neighborhood has a unique story to tell through food! Learn about the diverse culinary traditions of the people who have lived and worked here and sample food from some of the best restaurants the West End has to offer.
The tour begins at the large green chair at High Bridge Park North (476 Smith Ave N) and ends at Waldmann Brewery (445 Smith Avenue N). Ticket price includes a 90-minute guided walking tour of the West 7th neighborhood with small samples of food from three local establishments along the way. Tours will be led by a local food writer and an MNHS historical tour guide.
* The tour includes 1.5 miles of walking, along with stairs once we arrive at Waldmann Brewery.
* Due to the size of the tour, we are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions or most allergies.
