About This Event
Dig into Minnesota geology and celebrate ancient history through Indigenous perspectives as the Minnesota Historical Society joins the Bell Museum for a day of family fun and activities at the Bell Museum. Throw an atlatl, learn how to make a canoe, and get to know local rocks as you chat with experts from the Minnesota Historical Society’s Jeffers Petroglyphs site and the Minnesota Geological Survey. Expect to leave with a strong foundation of Indigenous history and a head full of rocks – er, rock knowledge!
About the Bell Museum:
The Bell Museum is Minnesota’s official natural history museum, established by the legislature in 1872 and held in trust by the University of Minnesota. For over a century, the museum has preserved and interpreted our state’s rich natural history and served learners of all ages. Additionally, the Bell's scientific collections contain over one million specimens, representing every county in Minnesota and various locales around the globe.
