About This Event
Photography & Art at the Rock, a monthly exhibit in the lobby of the Split Rock Lighthouse Visitor Center that showcases local artists, landscape and wildlife photographers of the area.
For the month of July our featured artist is Ryan Tischer.
Artist Bio:
Ryan Tischer was born and raised in Carlton, Minnesota. As a child, he was exposed to the outdoors during family camping and fishing trips throughout northern Minnesota. In November of 2017 Tischer Gallery was opened in downtown Duluth, MN and in 2020 relocated to Canal Park. Ryan's fine art landscape photography has been displayed in homes and businesses around the world.
His goal as a landscape photographer and artist is to capture the emotional essence of a scene. The natural world is filled with an incredible energy and mood that is often indiscernible to the naked eye, yet can be captured with a camera. Sometimes the unique mood of light and interaction of elements within a composition create a truly magical photograph. My greatest reward is capturing this natural magic and sharing it with the world.
Tischer's show will run from July 1-31. He will be onsite:
-
July 5, 10 am-6 pm
-
July 19 10 am-6 pm
- Family
- Lectures and Talks
