Join the International Leadership Institute in partnership with the Minnesota Historical Society for African American Celebratory Interiors, a unique exhibit honoring the legacy of African American women who transformed their homes into spaces of beauty, culture, and connection.
Explore recreated dining tables from the 1920s, 1950s, and 1980s, featuring private community collections of vintage glassware, dishes, and linens that reflect the elegance of home-based gatherings, social clubs, and church luncheons.
Community members and descendants are invited to share memories, stories, and food traditions that bring this living history to life. Food and seating are first-come, first-served. This event will take place from 1-3pm on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14.
