Duluth, Minn., June 16th, 1920

Hon. J.A.A. Burnquist

Dear Governor

I stand ready to cooperate with you, or any agency you may employ to have the disgraceful affair which clouded our fair city on the night of June 15th at which time three negroes were hanged to a telegraph pole with out even a semblance of protection afforded by the laws of our great commonwealth.

Sincerely Yours,

R.D. McKercher
