STATE OF MINNESOTA
STATE BOARD OF CONTROL

Bemidji, Minnesota
Mason (6785) June 21st -1925

C J Swendsen, Chairman,
State Board of Parole,
Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Dear Sir:-
As per the attached I interviewed Judge Nelson at Worthington some time ago and he wrote his opinion regarding Max Mason (6785) and the same was forwarded to you. I saw Mr. Mason M. Forbes, the prosecutor on the June 12th and his recommendation in writing is herewith attached.
Mr. Forbes is very well known in northern Minnesota and elsewhere and has considerable influence among members of the bar. he is not altogether in accord with the indeterminate sentence law or the Board of Parole and I would respectfully suggest that Mr. Forbes be asked to attend a session of the Parole Board at Stillwater. He is not all backward about expressing his views and I am sure he has the wrong impression as to the functioning of the Board of Parole.

Respectfully yours,

State Parole Agent
