Hon. J.A.A. Burnquist
Governor of Minnesota
St. Paul, Minn.

My dear Governor Burnquist:

Thank you for you letter of July 2 telling of the arrests and indictment on first degree murder charges already of twelve persons for alleged participation in the lynchings. We were confident that Minnesota would act at once in this matter.

Very sincerely yours,
