Image text

July 2, 1920.

Mr. Albert D. Selver,
Director American Civil Liberties Union,
138 West 13th St.,
New York City.

Dear Sir:--

With reference to you letter of June 16th relative to the Duluth affair, it may interest you to know that twelve persons have already been indicted and arrested on first degree murder charges on account of alleged participation in the lynchings. The grand jury has not completed its investigation and the state departments are, of course, cooperating in every way possible.

Very truly yours,

B/VS
