February 28, 1921.

Mr. Leonidas Merritt,

Red Warrior Mining Co.,
Providence Building,
Duluth, Minnesota.

My dear Sir:
Governor Preus has asked to acknowledge your letter of the 25th with reference to Gilbert Stephenson, now an inmate of the Minnesota State Prison. I wish also to acknowledge your letter of the same date to the Board of Pardons.

At the present time, Mr. Stephenson has no application before this Board but should he present one, you may be certain, your recommendations will have the attention of the Board.
Very truly yours,

Clerk of the Pardon Board
