Fred Neher

Vice President of Finance

Fred Neher has led the Finance team at the Minnesota Historical Society since 2019. He has deep domain experience in finance and business as well as expertise in strategy development. 

Prior to working at MNHS, Fred served as global finance vice president at Ecolab for their industrial sector where he led a diverse, global finance team. He also developed and taught graduate finance courses at the University of St. Thomas Business School. 

In addition to his work at MNHS, Fred has also served on several school boards and is keenly interested in education and history. Fred holds a B.A. in Economics from Carleton College and earned an MBA in Finance and Marketing from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
